Brine House Patmos is now available for 10 day rental for discerning travelers searching for new revelations on the Greek Isle of Patmos, the second most holy site , after Mt. Athos, of the Greek Orthodox Church. Featured in the xx 2018 edition of Architectural Digest, TBrine Patmos House is designed and furnished by John Stefanidis, the Egyptian-born, London-based AD100 interior designer and celebrated creator and master of “The Patmos Style”. Located a stone's throw from the Monastery of Saint John the Theologian, The Brine House Patmos is a pilgrim’s walk down the 1st-century Byzantine trail to the Apocalyptic Cave, where in 60 CE John the Theologian dictated The Book of Revelations to his amanuensis and abrisk jaunt by a speeding taxi to the shops, restaurants and tavernas at the port and many beaches, chapels and verdant fields which you will explore during your ten days on Patmos.
Smith Brine House Patmos - We will provide breakfast for you with our cook for your first morning on the Island. If you would like you can book additional cooking service at your expense. We will also provide transportation from the marina to Smith Brine House when you arrive on the Island.

The space
You can rent a boat with a captain at the Marina. This is a great way to explore around the Island including hard to reach beaches.
If you prefer to do the cooking yourself, grocery service is available. You can also coordinate with Maria to have meals prepared by her.

Travel Guidelines - Travel to the Island is mainly via ferry. Yani can provide you with details when you book. You can also arrive by private boat or helicopter. Transporation will be needed to get you to the house.
History of Brine House Patmos
First published on the Cover of Architectual Digest in the xx 2022 issue, the original multi-terraced villa was created bythe late Ashton Hawkins, former executive vice president of the New York Metropolitan Museum and Tim Husband, the curator of the Cloisters, the Mets medieval branch. Recently enlarged with the addition of an adjacent property, the Brine Patmos House now commands an entire city block in Chora offering discerning guests and their families , and friends a magical Byzantine interior landscape that includes three spectacular viewing terraces, three interior garden areas,an antique-filled living room adjacent to a library of greek and roman classics , six ensuite bedrooms, and several cobblestone terraced. sitting areas, two kitchens, and even a tiny pottery and private garden.
